Umeshu made with 100% Gyokuro from Hekisuien in Uji, Kyoto. This Kyoto-style plum wine has a perfect balance between the aroma of gyokuro, the refreshing astringency and bitterness of gyokuro, and the sweet and sour taste of plum wine.

Founded in Fushimi, Kyoto in 1657 (Meireki 3), Tomio’s has been dedicated to the traditional techniques and ingredients handed down over 360 years, and has won a total of 21 gold medals at the National New Sake Competition, further refining the traditional techniques nurtured in the rich water environment of Fushimi, Kyoto. Tomio” means ”a person with a rich heart will be happy in his later years. Tomio” means ‘those who are rich in spirit will be happy in their later years,’ and the name ‘Tomio’ expresses our desire to create sake that enriches the spirit of those who drink it.
