This junmai ginjo is brewed using only “Yamadanishiki” rice suitable for sake brewing, which is grown under contract with minimal use of agricultural chemicals at Tanshu Kawakita Farm in Ayabe City, Kyoto Prefecture, with “Kyo no Koto” yeast developed in Kyoto and “Fushimizu” famous water in Fushimi. This sake has a gentle aroma and a delicious rice flavor. Winner of the Platinum Award in the Junmai Sake category at the Kura Master Sake Competition 2021 held in Paris, France.

Founded in Fushimi, Kyoto in 1657 (Meireki 3), Tomio’s has been dedicated to the traditional techniques and ingredients handed down over 360 years, and has won a total of 21 gold medals at the National New Sake Competition, further refining the traditional techniques nurtured in the rich water environment of Fushimi, Kyoto. Tomio” means ”a person with a rich heart will be happy in his later years. Tomio” means ‘those who are rich in spirit will be happy in their later years,’ and the name ‘Tomio’ expresses our desire to create sake that enriches the spirit of those who drink it.
