Refund and Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you’re not happy with your order, our refund and return policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. After 30 days, unfortunately, we cannot offer a full refund or exchange.

 

✅ Eligibility for Returns

To qualify for a return:

  • The item must be unused, unopened, and in the same condition in which you received it.

  • Items must be in their original packaging.

  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

 

🚫 Non-Returnable Items

Some items are not eligible for return, including:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, tea, flowers)

  • Intimate or sanitary items

  • Hazardous materials

  • Flammable liquids or gases

  • Gift cards

  • Downloadable digital products

  • Certain health and personal care items

 

💡 Partial Refunds

In some cases, only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

  • Books with obvious signs of use

  • Opened CDs, DVDs, software, vinyl records, or other media

  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery

 

💸 Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you via email. You’ll be informed whether your refund is approved or declined.

If approved, your refund will be processed and applied to your original method of payment. Processing time may vary depending on your payment provider.

 

🕒 Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

  1. Recheck your bank account.

  2. Contact your credit card company—there may be a delay before the refund is officially posted.

  3. Check with your bank—processing times can vary.

🔖 Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, sale items are non-refundable.

🔁 Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange for the same item, please email us at hello@atelierjapan.com and send your item to:

🎁 Gift Returns

If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be sent to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift, or was sent to the gift giver, we’ll send the refund to the original purchaser.

 

📦 Shipping Your Return

To return your product, please send it to:

  • Customers are responsible for their own return shipping costs.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, return shipping will be deducted.

  • For high-value returns, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.

We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item without tracking.
