Sake brewery introduction :Saito Sake Brewery
The Saito family started brewing sake in 1895. The Saito family had been a kimono merchant in Fushimi since the Genroku era (1688-1704), but during the Meiji era (1868-1912), when society underwent major changes, the ninth generation of the Saito family, Sotaro Saito, changed his business from kimono merchant to sake brewer. The current president is the 13th generation of the Saito family. Today, the company sends its excellent sake all over Japan and even to foreign countries. The company’s high level of brewing technology is proven by its 14 consecutive gold medals at the National New Sake Competition.
